I always thought these were a scam! I tried some of the free survey websites out and made about 10 dollars in a week after about 15 hours of filling out surveys. At the time I was a single income, bread winner, bearly making ends meet kinda guy with 5 mouths to feed including my dog. So I did a lot of different things such as free lance web work to donating plasma and yes I tried the free survey sites. I was very disappointed in them with little in return for my 15 hours of work ($10 whole dollars) .So when my co-worker Sharon at my job told me about the sites she used and the extra cash she was making I was intrigued to find out what sites she was using. I shared with her my experiences and she recommended a couple of sites to me.

Well Sharon told me she join a service for a onetime fee of 30 dollars. She did surveys and the secret shopper thing for about 3 years. She did tell me that the longer you are with the company and the more surveys and secret shopping you did you got better assignments that brought in more money. You won't become filthy rich off of doing it but you can make an extra $200 to $500 dollars a week, watch free movies, have a dinner paid for, get some free merchandise, etc.

So I found out people really CAN make some money and there are legitimate sites out there. Most of sites do charge a onetime fee of about 30 to 40 dollars and some of them give you a free trial. But you can make some extra money doing this in your free time.
